Spirituality learning outcomes: skills

 

 

» Students should feel comfortable taking a brief 'screening' spiritual history as part of a normal clerking history.

» Students should feel comfortable referring patients to the hospital chaplaincy and in liasing with chaplains as part of the healthcare team.

» Students should be aware of the challenges and opportunities of dealing with community clergy and religious communities in providing support for patients

» Students should be able to assess spiritual needs in psychiatric patients and in patients in palliative care.
