CLINICAL SKILLS BUS
The clinical skills bus takes the skills centre to the students while on placement, and comes equipped with its own driver-facilitator to support learning in a range of core skills such as:
Temperature, pulse and blood pressure recording Taking blood samples and inserting drips Cardiac Resuscitation skills Physical examination skills (listening to chests, examining ears & eyes etc) ECG Ear and eye examination Blood glucose monitoring Interpreting X-Rays Swallowing assessment Respiratory assessment Catheterisation Practicing with the pregnant abdomen Performing gynaecological examination Practicing with paediatric and adult resus models Laptop and data projector
