Welcome to Working in Mental Health

This website features a series of interviews with members of the different professions working in mental health care. Psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists talk about their roles within the multidisciplinary team, and their perspectives on team working and on their client group.

Teamworking and communication are essential elements of mental health care. Mental health workers seldom work alone. They usually work in collaboration with colleagues from other disciplines, who have overlapping perspectives on what works and what doesn’t when helping someone in mental distress.
